Bench Vise

Width 8″Depth 14″Height 7″Shape rectangle
Overview
A bench vise clamps work firmly in its jaws so you can saw, file, drill, or bend it with both hands free. It is one of the most-used fixtures on any workbench and shines mounted at a bench edge where long pieces can hang past it.
Sizing & placement
It measures just 8 inches wide, 14 inches deep, and 7 inches tall. In the planner it can sit on a workbench, table, or tool cabinet. Set it at the bench edge, often near a corner over a leg, so the jaws clear the edge.
Where it works
Garages and workshops; metalworking, mechanics, and general repair benches.
