Skip measuring to get started: pick a photo of the room, and in about 30 seconds AI builds a floor plan from it — walls, openings and the furniture it can see. It is an approximate starting point, so check the key dimensions with a tape measure and correct them in the editor.

Can RoomSketch3D generate a floor plan automatically?

Yes, three ways: from a photo of a room (an approximate plan with furniture in about 30 seconds), from a photo or PDF of an existing floor plan (AI traces walls, doors, windows and stairs for you to review), or by furnishing an area you draw with the Auto-furnish wand. You can also start from a furnished template.

How accurate is a floor plan generated from a photo?

Treat it as a fast first draft. Room proportions and furniture placement come out close, but exact lengths depend on the photo. Measure the main walls and type the real lengths in — the plan updates instantly.

Can it design my whole house from a description?

No. It generates from photos, existing plans, design ideas and templates — not from a text prompt. Drawing a house by hand is quick, though: walls take exact lengths as you drag.

Is the generator an extra charge?

No. Photo and plan import and Auto-furnish are part of the $19.99 one-time purchase. The only optional extra in the app is AI Render Studio credits for photorealistic pictures (5 free).
