Creating custom furniture
Enter the width, depth, and height of a piece you own (or are eyeing) and RoomSketch3D adds it to your room like any other item.
When the catalog doesn't have the exact piece — odd dimensions, specific item, vintage piece — Custom Furniture lets you define anything.
Step by step

Open Custom Furniture
Furnish Panel → Custom Furniture button (top). Or, while a piece is selected, Inspector → Customize.

Set dimensions
Width, Depth, Height in your preferred unit. Be accurate — these dimensions feed into Smart Flow Check.

Choose color
Color picker. Default is a neutral tone; pick anything from the palette or type a hex value.

Add label and search keywords
Label appears above the piece in 2D and 3D. Keywords make the piece findable in search if you save it for reuse.

Place it
Click Add to Design (or Save and Add). The custom piece appears like any catalog item; you can rotate, duplicate, move, delete.
Tips
Measure your real piece first
Width × Depth × Height with a tape measure. Then type those numbers — Smart Flow Check will tell you if it fits.

Can I save a custom piece for reuse?
Yes — the keywords field makes it findable in search across designs.
My exact piece isn't in the catalog — what are my options?
Three, in order of speed. (1) Add the closest catalog piece and type its real width, depth, and height in the inspector — most pieces take any size, and the plan then shows your piece's real footprint. (2) Build it with Custom Furniture: a box with your dimensions, a color, and a label, that Flow Check treats like any other item. (3) Request it: Support → Request Furniture with a link or the dimensions — items are added weekly and you'll get a note when it lands. For a fixture or appliance you have a picture of, upload it as a custom symbol.
