Make sure there's a window to dress
Treatments attach to an opening, so the wall needs one. If your room has no window yet, add a Window (or a door, or an Opening) from the Build panel first — treatments work on windows, sliding windows, openings, and every door type. Already have windows? Skip ahead.

Pick a window treatment
In the Furnish panel, search curtains, blinds, shade, drapes, or valance — or open the Window Treatments category. There are eight styles: Curtain Panel, Curtains (Pair), Floor-Length Drapes, Roller Shade, Roman Blind, Vertical Blinds, Venetian Blinds, and a Valance (a short topper). Tap the one you want.

Tap the window to hang it
The plan prompts "Tap a window, door, or opening to add the treatment." Tap the opening you want to dress and the treatment attaches to it, auto-sized to that opening — no dragging or measuring. Tapping a blank wall does nothing (there's nothing to dress there), so aim for the window itself.

Layer treatments for a finished look
You can stack more than one treatment on the same window. They sort by depth automatically — blinds and shades sit against the glass, curtains and drapes hang in front, and a valance is the frontmost topper — so a blind under drapes under a valance reads correctly in 2D and 3D. Just tap the same window again with the next style selected.

Recolor and resize to your window
Select the treatment on its window to open the wall-feature inspector, where you can set the color — cool greys for blinds, warm neutrals or a bold fabric for curtains — and adjust its size. Each style comes in a sensible default fabric tone so stacked layers stay tellable apart. To take a treatment off, use Remove this window treatment.

Switch to the 3D view and the treatment renders over the window — fabric folds on curtains and drapes, slats on blinds, a smooth pull on shades — so you can judge the dressed window in the room before you buy anything.

Tips
Add the windows first
Because treatments attach to openings, the fastest workflow is to place all your windows and doors, then go around dressing them. Trying to add a curtain to a wall with no window just does nothing — there's no opening to attach it to.
Layer a blind under drapes under a valance
Real windows are often dressed in layers. Attach a blind or shade for privacy, drapes in front for softness, and a valance across the top — RoomSketch3D orders them from the glass outward so they render in the right order without any fiddling.
Match treatments across a room
Windows on the same wall — or in the same open-plan space — look best in the same style and color. Dress one the way you want, then match the others so the room reads as one.
Common mistakes
Trying to drop a curtain on a bare wall
A treatment needs a window, door, or opening to attach to — tapping empty wall does nothing. If the treatment won't land, add a window there first, then tap the window.
Leaving windows bare in the 3D view
An undressed window is the quickest way to make a 3D room feel like a model instead of a home. Even a simple roller shade or curtain pair on the main windows makes the space read finished.
