Add awnings to your home's exterior
Outdoor → Structures → tap an outside wall; choose the style, projection, slope, fabric colour or stripes, and roll the retractable one in or out.
Awnings change how a house reads from the street and how usable a patio is at noon. RoomSketch3D has three: a Door Canopy Awning, a Dome Window Awning, and a Retractable Patio Awning. They hang on outside walls like a door or window, draw as a neat overhead outline on the plan, and appear in full on the house in 3D, in elevation views, and in every export.

Find them under Outdoor
In the catalog switch to the Outdoor tab and search awning (they're grouped under Structures with sheds and pergolas). Three tiles appear: Door Canopy Awning, Dome Window Awning, Retractable Patio Awning.

Tap the wall to hang it
Tap Door Canopy Awning, then +Add, then tap the outside wall above the front door. Awnings are wall-mounted, so they place like a door: flush to the wall, centred on the tap.

Set style, reach, and fabric
In the Awning inspector choose Fixed, Dome, or Retractable; set Projection (how far it reaches from the wall), Drop (the slope from the mount to the outer edge), and the outer-edge height above the ground; then pick Solid or Striped fabric and a colour.

Add the retractable patio awning
Place a Retractable Patio Awning on the wall over the patio doors. Its inspector adds Extended / Retracted, so you can show the patio shaded or the awning rolled away.

Slide it, or pick it from a stack
Select an awning and drag to slide it along its wall — or across to another outside wall. When an awning sits over a door, window, or balcony, tapping there opens the Select item chooser listing everything in the stack.

See it on the house
View in 3D shows the awnings on the exterior with their fabric and stripes. Elevation views show them straight-on with heights, and they're included in PNG, PDF, and print exports.

Tips
Projection is the useful number
A patio awning that reaches the table edge (say 10 ft) shades lunch; a 4 ft canopy over a door keeps rain off the key.
Name it
Awnings take a custom name in the inspector and show a tag that follows the furniture-labels switch.
