Small Agave

Overview
The small agave is a compact rosette succulent with pointed, blue-green leaves, the size of a young agave or one of the smaller agave species. Use it in pots, rock gardens, gravel beds and dry borders, singly as an accent or repeated in a row; each one placed gets a slightly different rosette so a row doesn't look cloned in 3D.
Sizing & placement
It is 30 inches across and 20 inches tall. Like all agaves its leaves end in sharp tips, so keep it back from the edge of a path or a seat. In a pot it needs full sun and a free-draining mix; to show a bigger plant, type a larger width and height, or use the Agave (Century Plant).
Where it works
Patios and terraces in containers, rock gardens, gravel gardens and dry borders; desert, Mediterranean and modern landscapes. Find it under Plants (on the Outdoor tab), or search "agave", "succulent" or "rock garden".
