Kitchen cabinets, configured like the real thing

Every cabinet's front is configurable — doors, drawers, glass, open shelving, handle side — so your 3D kitchen matches the one you'll build.

A kitchen reads right only when the cabinet fronts do. Base and wall cabinets in RoomSketch3D are fully configurable: pick the front style, the number of doors and drawers, which side the handles sit on, and how many shelves live inside — the door count even fills in automatically from the cabinet's width.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Place a cabinet

Search the catalog for cabinet and add the size you need — base cabinets from 12" to 36", plus wall, tall, corner, sink, and appliance cabinets.

Select any cabinet to open its configuration options.
  2. 2

    Pick the front

Doors, drawers, glass, or open shelving. A 36-inch base shows two doors automatically; switch it to a drawer stack for a pot-drawer run.

  3. 3

    Set handles and shelves

Choose the handle side for single-door cabinets (think about which way you'll stand) and the number of interior shelves — visible through glass fronts.

  4. 4

    Corner cabinets too

Corner (lazy-susan) cabinets take their own door styles — bi-fold double, single angled panel, glass, or open — and the cabinet reshapes to match.

  5. 5

    Microwave cabinets

The microwave wall cabinet holds a real microwave you can Show or Hide in its inspector, and the microwave-drawer cabinet sits in a proper base cabinet at counter height — not floating. Use them to place the appliance exactly where it goes in the run.

  6. 6

    Appliance garage & angled ends

For the awkward spots: an appliance garage (a counter-top cabinet with a roll-up front to hide the toaster and kettle), angled end cabinets in chamfered or diagonal styles to soften the end of a run, and a corner pantry for the deep corner. Drop them in like any cabinet and they carry the same front and finish options.

  7. 7

    Review in 3D

Switch to 3D — fronts, handles, and glass render exactly as configured, so the kitchen elevation you show a cabinet maker matches your spec.

Tips

Mix door and drawer bases

Real kitchens alternate: doors under the sink, drawers by the range. Configure each base separately for a kitchen that reads professionally.
