Painting your walls — colors for every wall face
Tap any wall and give each side its own paint color — from nearly ten thousand real brand colors or an exact hex code — then see the result in 3D.
Every wall in your plan can carry paint: exterior walls have separate inside and outside faces, and an interior wall shared by two rooms can wear a different color on each stretch. Colors come from the real catalogs of Behr, Benjamin Moore, and Sherwin-Williams — nearly ten thousand of them — or from an exact hex code. Everything renders in the 3D view.
Walls start with no color chosen and look exactly as they always have — paint is opt-in, wall by wall.

Open Wall Paints
On desktop: left panel → Materials tab → Wall Paints. On phones: the Materials button at the bottom opens one popup with Flooring and Wall Paints tabs.

Tap a wall — from the side of the room you want
Tap a wall on the plan preview. The side you tap matters: tap the wall from inside the kitchen and “this room” means the kitchen; tap the same wall from the hallway side and it means the hallway. The room you targeted gets a soft blue tint so there's never a doubt. Walls crossed by other walls select one section at a time.

Choose a color
Tap Choose color on a slot. Browse by brand, search by name or code (“Agreeable Gray”, “7029”), or open the Hex code tab to enter an exact color — it also shows the closest real paint matches, so you can turn any color into one you can actually buy.

Decide how far the color goes
The Apply to chips act immediately: This wall only (or This section only on a divided wall), This room only — every wall face looking into that room, stopping exactly at the room's boundary — or All interior walls on this floor. Exterior colors offer All exterior walls, which paints the whole outside of the house across every floor.

See it in 3D — without leaving the popup
Tap the 3D cube in the popup's header. The 3D view opens with your colors on the walls; close it and the popup comes right back with your wall still selected, so adjusting is one tap each way.
Paint renders on the correct face of every wall in 3D.
Tips
New walls remember your color
After you've painted, newly drawn interior walls pick up your most recent interior color automatically — handy when you're partitioning a floor you've already colored.
Start over in one tap
Clear all colors at the bottom of the popup removes every wall color on the floor (it asks first, and it's undoable).
Match a color you already have
Got a paint chip or a photo? Grab its hex code with any color-picker app, enter it on the Hex code tab, and use the closest-match list to find the nearest real Behr / Benjamin Moore / Sherwin-Williams color.
Common mistakes
Painting from the wrong side
If “This room only” colors the neighboring room instead, you tapped the wall from that neighboring side. Tap the wall again from inside the room you want — the blue room tint shows which room is targeted before you commit.
Expecting paint in the 2D plan
Wall colors render in the 3D view (and as thin color strips inside the Wall Paints popup). The 2D editor canvas keeps its clean black-line look on purpose.
Frequently asked questions
Can the two sides of an interior wall have different colors?
Yes — each side belongs to the room it faces. Paint one room blue and the neighboring room green, and the shared wall wears blue on one side, green on the other.
Can one long wall have several colors?
Yes. A wall that runs along several rooms carries each room's color on its own stretch, and colors stop exactly at the room boundaries. Walls split by intersecting walls can also be painted one section at a time.
Are the brand colors accurate?
They're the real catalog colors with their official names and codes, so you can take a code straight to the paint store. On-screen rendering varies with your display — always confirm with a physical swatch before buying paint.
Do yard fences take paint?
No — fences have their own styles. Wall Paints applies to the walls of indoor floors.
