Duplicate or copy a floor plan
Duplicate a design to spin off a version you can change freely — a different layout, furniture arrangement, or flooring — while the original stays untouched.
Want to try a different layout without losing your current one? Duplicate the design to make an independent copy. It's the easiest way to explore versions and variations — a different furniture arrangement, flooring, or wall layout — while the original stays exactly as it was.
Step by step

Open the design picker
Click New design (the + in the top bar), or from the dashboard. The Create New or Select Floor Plan window opens; scroll down to Your Designs.

Click the Duplicate icon
Each design in Your Designs has a Duplicate icon (the copy icon, next to download and delete). Click it to instantly create an independent copy of that design.

Open and rename the copy
The copy appears in Your Designs. Open it, then click its name at the top to rename it — e.g. Living room — Option B or v2 — so your versions stay easy to tell apart.

Edit freely
Change anything in the copy — layout, furniture, flooring, walls — and the original is untouched. Duplicate again any time to branch off more variations.

Use copies as named versions
Before a big change, duplicate first and rename — “before remodel” vs “after” — so you can compare and always fall back.
