Labels, room tags, sticky notes — and naming any object
Long-press to add a label, drop a sticky note for whoever you share with, and give any door, chair, or wall a name of your own.
RoomSketch3D names rooms for you the moment walls enclose them — Kitchen, Bedroom, Bath — and shows each room's size. A plan you hand to someone else usually needs a little more: a name on the nook that isn't a room, a note about the wall you're not sure of, a door called by the room it opens into.
There are three tools for that, and they all travel with the plan into your exports: room labels you place yourself, sticky notes, and an editable name on any object.

See the automatic room names
Any space closed off by walls gets a name, an area, and its own flooring as soon as it's enclosed — you no longer need to add a door first. Tap a room's label to expand it, rename it, or use the wand to auto-design that room.

Add your own label
Open Layers (the layers button in the toolbar) and tap Add label — or right-click (long-press on touch) anywhere on the plan and choose Add label from the menu. Type into the Label… field, tap Done, and drag the tag to wherever it reads best. Tags always render right-side-up, even on a rotated plan.

Drop a sticky note
Tap Sticky notes in the toolbar — the hint reads Tap anywhere on the plan to place a note — tap the spot, and write in the Write a note… box: a measurement to confirm, a question for the contractor, a reminder for yourself. Use Note color to colour-code, drag a note to move it, tap it to reopen, and Exit notes when you're done. Notes tuck behind open panels so they never cover the tools.

Name anything
Select any object — furniture, a door, a window, an awning, a staircase, a pillar, an elevator, a wall, a balcony, a skylight, a zone — and the title at the top of its inspector is an editable Name field. Type Kids' room door or Reading sofa; Enter or tapping away saves it, Escape reverts. Clear the text to go back to the standard name. A name you give a piece sticks when you resize it.

Control what shows, and export it
In Layers, Show room labels, Show furniture labels, and Show sticky notes switch each kind on or off while you work. Exports honour the same choices: with Labels on in the export dialog, your labels and names print; sticky notes are for the working plan and shared design views.

Tips
Label the spaces that aren't rooms
A reading corner, the drop zone by the door, the future island — a tag makes the intent obvious to whoever reads the plan.
Notes beat emails
Put the question on the wall it's about. When you share a public link, the note is right there in context.
Names make Flow Check readable
"Kids' room door blocked by Reading sofa" is easier to act on than "Door 3 blocked by 3-Seater Sofa".
Common mistakes
Hiding labels and thinking they're gone
The Layers toggles only hide; the labels are still on the plan and still export if Labels is on in the export dialog.
Pressing Escape to save
Escape discards the edit everywhere — label, note, or inspector name. Enter or tapping away saves.
Frequently asked questions
Can I rename the automatically detected rooms?
Yes. Tap the room label to expand it and edit the name, or add your own label anywhere with Layers → Add label.
Do sticky notes appear in exports?
Sticky notes are a working layer for you and people you share the design with; your labels and object names print when Labels is on in the export dialog.
Can I name a door or a wall, not just furniture?
Yes. Every object with an inspector — doors, windows, awnings, stairs, pillars, elevators, walls, balconies, skylights, zones — has an editable name field at the top of its inspector.
