A floor plan is a view from above; an elevation is a view from the side. RoomSketch3D generates the four exterior elevations of your home automatically from the plan, drawn straight-on the way an architect would, with real heights: window sill and head heights, door heights, balcony railings, bulkheads, bay windows, awnings, and the slope of a vaulted or pyramid roof.
Elevations are dimensioned and exportable. Save them in colour or black-and-white, as an image or a PDF, or add all four as extra pages when you print or export the plan. They are the fastest way to show a contractor where a window sits on a wall, or to check that a tall wardrobe will clear the low side of a sloped ceiling.
Because elevations read from the same model as everything else, they update as you work — change a window's sill height, paint the exterior, or add an awning, and the elevation follows.

Frequently asked questions
Are elevations drawn automatically?
Yes. All four exterior elevations are generated from the floor plan with real heights, so there is nothing to draw by hand.
Can I include elevations in my PDF?
Yes. When you print or export the plan on desktop you can add the four elevation views as extra pages.
Do elevations show sloped or vaulted ceilings?
Yes. Vaulted, cathedral, single-slope, and pyramid ceilings appear in the elevation with their eave and ridge heights.
