Badminton Court (13.4 × 6.1 m)

Overview

A regulation badminton court with doubles and singles lines, service lines and a net, on a green sport mat. It is one configurable item: the size is the whole surface and the lines stay at their real BWF size. Select it for Sport mat or Hardwood and to toggle the net.

Sizing & placement

The surface is 685 × 358 inches (17.4 × 9.1 m, about 57 ft × 30 ft): the 13.40 × 6.10 m doubles court with 2 m behind each back line and 1.5 m at each side. The Laws of Badminton don't fix a run-off, so this is a practical club spacing. The singles court is 13.40 × 5.18 m and the short service line 1.98 m from the net. The net is 1.524 m at the centre and 1.55 m (61 inches) at the posts. High clears need height: the Badminton Hall template uses a 30 ft ceiling.

Where it works

Sports halls, school and club gyms, recreation rooms with a high ceiling, and backyards for casual play. Find it under Sports & Venues (Gym tab) or search "badminton".
