How tall is the in-ground hoop?

13 ft (156 inches) to the top, with the rim at the regulation 10 ft.

Why does Flow Check say it is taller than the ceiling?

Because a standard room is 8 or 9 ft high and the hoop is 13 ft. Raise the ceiling in Plan Settings, or put the hoop in the yard outside the house, where nothing counts as being under a ceiling.

Where should the pole go?

At the edge of the driveway or pad with the backboard facing the playing area; the rim reaches about 4 ft out from the pole.

Overview

A free-standing in-ground basketball hoop for a driveway, a patio or the edge of a court: a padded pole set in the ground, an arm, a glass backboard and an orange rim with a net. Use it when you want a hoop without painting a whole court.

Sizing & placement

It takes 72 × 72 inches (6 × 6 ft) on the plan, from the pole at the back to the front of the rim, and stands 156 inches (13 ft) tall. The rim is at the regulation 10 ft, about 4 ft out from the pole, under a 6 ft wide backboard. Indoors in an 8 or 9 ft room Flow Check warns that it is taller than the ceiling: raise the ceiling to at least 13 ft or place it in the yard outside the house.

Where it works

Driveways, backyards, patios and the side of an outdoor court. Find it under Sports & Venues (Gym tab) or search "hoop", "basketball hoop" or "driveway hoop".
