The Android app: getting started
Everything you need to get going with RoomSketch3D on Android.
The Android app is the full RoomSketch3D editor on a phone or tablet: the same designs, catalog, Smart Flow Check, 3D view and exports as the web, with a layout arranged for a touch screen. It's included in the one-time purchase — sign in with the account you already use and everything is there.
This page covers installing and signing in, how the phone layout is organised, the touch gestures, and the two features that differ from the web.
Step by step

Install and sign in
Search RoomSketch3D on Google Play and install. Open it and sign in the same way you do on the web — Google, Apple or your email. If you've already purchased, the app is unlocked as soon as you sign in; if not, you can buy in the app through Google Play. Your designs list appears on the first screen.

The plan and the pill row
The plan fills the screen. Along the bottom is the pill row: Structural & Interior (walls, doors, windows, stairs, fireplaces), Furnish (the catalog), Materials (flooring and wall paints), Symbols and Edit Floor. One tap opens each as a sheet that slides up from the bottom.

The Furnish sheet
Tap Furnish: the catalog opens as a bottom sheet with the search box, room chips and size filters. Tap a tile, then +Add, and the piece lands in the room; the sheet drops so you can place it.

Build and Materials
Structural & Interior holds the build tools and doors/windows in one sheet; Materials holds Flooring and Wall Paints in a single popup with two tabs. Plan settings — labels, dimensions, tints — live under the settings button in the top bar.

Touch gestures
Drag a piece to move it; the drag magnifier shows exactly where it lands. Pinch to zoom, two-finger drag to pan, two-finger twist to rotate the selected piece. Tap a piece for its inspector. In 3D: one finger rotates, two fingers pan, pinch zooms; walk mode uses the on-screen joystick.

What's different from the web
AR room scanning is iPhone and iPad only for now. GLB export (the 3D model file) isn't available in the app — export it from the web. Everything else, including PNG, PDF, DXF and JSON exports, works the same.
Tips
Tablets
On a tablet in landscape the app switches to the desktop layout with side panels — the same as the web.
Photo to floor plan
Use the phone's camera for Use Room Photo and Floor Plan Image: snap the plan on the wall of a rental office and trace it on the spot.
Common mistakes
Signing in differently on the phone
Google here, Apple there: separate accounts, empty list. Use the same sign-in everywhere.
Looking for AR scan on Android
It's an iPhone/iPad feature. Measure with the tape measure or type room dimensions instead.

GLB export is web-only. PNG, PDF, DXF and JSON exports all work in the app.
