The iPhone & iPad app: what's different

The iOS app does everything the web does, plus a few things only a phone can — here's the rundown.

The iPhone and iPad app does everything the web does, plus a few things only a phone can — AR room scanning, touch editing, and on-device photo capture for AI floor-plan generation.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Install

App Store → RoomSketch3D. Install. Sign in with the same account as the web.

  2. 2

    Key mobile features

AR Scan — measure a room by walking it. Touch editing — drag, pinch, two-finger rotate. Often faster than mouse. Drag magnifier — when you nudge furniture near a wall, a magnifier pops up above your finger so you can see exactly where the piece sits. Deep pinch zoom — zoom in much further than before for fine placement. Multi-select delete — select several pieces and delete them together. On-device photo capture — snap a room photo and run the AI floor-plan generator immediately.

  3. 3

    Materials in one place

On the phone, one Materials button holds both Flooring and Wall Paints — tap it and switch between the two tabs in a single popup.

  4. 4

    Saving is automatic

There's no Save button on the phone — saving is fully automatic. Every change is stored as you make it; keeping your work safe is our job, not yours.

  5. 5

    What's the same as web

Full editor: walls, doors, windows, furniture, 3D view, Smart Flow Check, exports (except GLB on iOS). Same designs, same library.

  6. 6

    What's different

No GLB export on iOS (native file write bridge not yet enabled). AR scan is iOS-only currently.
